Oxford, IN – Benton Central High School’s Track & Field teams are set to compete at the prestigious Gene Edmonds Relays hosted by Rensselaer Central High School on Friday, May 2, 2025. The event will feature top competition from across the region, including teams from Benton Central, North Newton, Rensselaer Central, South Newton, Twin Lakes, Kankakee Valley, West Central, and Hanover Central. Field events will begin at 5:45 PM EST, with the National Anthem scheduled for 6:40 PM EST and the running events to follow at 6:45 PM EST. Field events include the Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump, High Jump, and Pole Vault. Running events will highlight a variety of exciting relays such as the Varsity Sprint Medley, Distance Medley, 3200 Relay, Shuttle Hurdle Relay, 400 Relay, and the 1600 Relay. A championship trophy will be awarded to the winning boys' and girls' teams.
